Plant breeder, John Driver spent years collecting material in order to find, breed and select the world's sweetest apricot. These are true apricots - not crosses with plums or peaches. The result is six varieties of apricots, so sweet and intensely flavorful that they taste like nature's candy. Therefore, it was only natural we call them CandyCots®.
CandyCots® are petite and come in six different varieties - each one tasting very unique and incredibly sweet due to a unique balance of sugars, starches and acidity. While traditional apricots contain 10 to 16 brix of sweetness, CandyCots® have a natural sweetness of 21 to 30 brix.
We believe that taste comes first - size and color are secondary. CandyCots® come in many different sizes, shapes and colors — white, cream, yellow, orange and red.
Carefully selected, each CandyCot® is harvested by hand at its peak of ripeness.
CandyCots® are delicately packed into custom designed cushioned cartons to maintain their condition and appearance.
